The barn door frame however, whilst still needing to be rust-proof, does not need to be manoeuvrable, so was made from galvanised steel which is ferromagnetic. As the banjo was swung towards the door, the magnetism between the frame and the banjo became strong enough to divert the trajectory of the banjo to such a degree, that it missed the barn door and came to rest on the door frame instead.
