Uncapped England First XI

by Herr Ed

Herr Hippo has selected the best English team available from those players who are uncapped at senior level. This selection raises several important questions:

  1. Does Herr Hippo know his future England dark horses from his future lower league journeymen?
  2. How many of these players might win a full England cap in the future? (I think the two centre backs and Nolan stand a good chance.)
  3. What would the score be between this team and the England first XI?

GK Davis (Sunderland
RB Hibbert (Everton)
CB Dawson (Tottenham)
CB A. Ferdinand (West Ham)
LB Taylor (Portsmouth)
RM Bullard (Wigan)
CM Brown (Fulham)
CM Nolan (Bolton)
LM Lennon (Tottenham)
CF Davies (Bolton)
CF Harewood (West Ham)

Why has Herr Hippo not selected Steve Sidwell or Tom Huddlestone?

  3. Wes Truth says:

Is Harewood a striker or a winger?

  4. Helger Heiderson says:

Harewood is an attacking utility player. A ’stringer’ if you like.

Why has nobody mentioned Titus Bramble?

  5. Wes Truth says:

    I think I prefer AUP.

Nobody has mentioned Titus Bramble because he does not really exist.

I reckon Leicester City’s Richard Stearman will have gained an England cap by the time World Cup 2010 rolls around. And I don’t mean by buying one off ebay.
